Jeffrey Gross
Ph.D.,Th.D.., M.S., M.A., SAC-IT, CPSS
Lead Pastor, Board Vice President, Restoring Hope Ministries

About seven years ago, my journey took a pivotal turn. Lost and devoid of purpose, I encountered the profound love of Jesus, reminiscent of the transformation described in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.” From the depths of addiction, I was graced with a second chance, an opportunity to dedicate my life to serving God, who reigns supreme.
In this journey, reminiscent of Joseph’s story in Genesis 50:20, where what was meant for harm, God used for good, my life was illuminated by a divine spark. This spark not only transformed me but rebirthed me into a new being in Christ. Through this metamorphosis, I have been blessed immensely, in ways that still astound me.

The Lord guided me to pursue an academic path rich in spiritual and psychological wisdom. I obtained a Bachelor of Theology and a degree in Christian Counseling, followed by a Master's and a Doctorate in the same field. My heart is also drawn towards the intricate study of Biblical Hebrew and Greek, and I have completed my Th.D. Concurrently, I pursued secular education, earning a B.S in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay, followed by an M.S. in Clinical Psychology, and currently, I am in the candidate phase of my Psy.D. program at The Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology.
All these achievements, as stated in Psalm 115:1, are not for my glory but for the Lord’s: “Not to us, Lord, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness.” In this journey, I am but a humble instrument in God's grand design, earnestly striving to align with His will rather than my own.
I am blessed to be a father and a husband, my family being my stronghold and source of encouragement in challenging times. In our ministry, my wife, Nina, and I have been privileged to witness the mighty works of God. We envision Restoring Hope Ministries not just impacting one community, but many. In the next five years, God willing, we hope to see over 50 disciples serving under this ministry, all for His glory. Our prayer is that our actions and behaviors reflect our deep obedience and faith in Him, embodying James 2:18 - “I will show you my faith by my deeds.”
In this ministry, we stand as witnesses to the transformative power of God’s love, hoping to inspire and restore hope in the hearts of many.

Steve Liegl
Board of Directors - President

I am honored to serve as the Board President for Restoring Hope Ministries. I have three children and am blessed to be working within the ministry alongside my wife Heather.
I hold a Doctorate of Business Administration and currently teach/learn from students across multiple graduate and doctoral programs.
Along with serving six years on active duty in the United States Marine Corp I have spent 30+ years working in the technology and business operational areas of multiple companies/industries. In addition, I have been entrusted to serve on multiple other Boards of various types and capacities. This service is truly a passion of mine, as I strive to meet people where they are. This meeting point is critical as it provides an avenue to demonstrate and share the love of God with each person.
In the many trials and tribulations of life, Jeremiah 29:11 has been the foundation of recognizing that regardless of my circumstances, God always has a plan for each and every person, regardless of condition. As I offer to stand in the gap with all those that I cross paths with, encouragement and vulnerability is key to establishing lasting relationships.
Being part of the ministry brings joy, hope, and fulfillment as lives are touched by the Word of God.

Heather Liegl
First Impressions Director

Blessed by the role of First Impressions Director for Restoring Hope ministries, I have the pleasure of being the first encounter new group members or prospective supporters experience. I treasure a passion of seeing people experience God in a brand-new way, through His enduring love and solid foundation. “Be my rock of refuge, to which I can always go: give the command to save me, for you are my rock and my fortress.”- Psalm 71:3.
I have learned through my years of serving others, that it is more valuable to meet more than one’s needs. You must meet the person, just as Jesus did. I am pleased to share my gifts and talents with those I serve through Restoring Hope Ministries. “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”- Mark 10:45.
My husband, Steve, and I do life with our three children well together as a ship anchored in Christ. Although the waves may come crashing over us at times, we stand strong on His unwavering promises. We purpose our lives to be a blessing to others, as we have been so blessed. “A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed.”- Proverbs 11:25.

Tina Bryson, Board Treasurer

As Treasurer of Restoring Hope Ministries, I bring a 30+ year background in Finance and Accounting. I’m a single mom of two girls of whom I am very proud.
In 2014, my husband was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). My family and I were blessed with support from so many family members, friends and organizations giving to us selflessly to assist us during three very difficult years. Now, I’m looking to give back to others as a tribute to my late husband and as a thank you to those that helped us.

Aaron Sovey

Grace & Wellness Advocate
After many years of battling addiction and facing incarceration, I found a new path through my faith in Christ. This transformative experience has led me to dedicate my life to serving the Lord and helping others find their way.
As a certified Grace and Wellness advocate, I am passionate about promoting holistic well-being rooted in spiritual principles. I am currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in biblical counseling, which will further equip me to support individuals on their journeys to recovery and spiritual growth.
I serve as the Director of Operations for our local chapter of Freedom that Last Ministries. This organization is close to my heart, as it allows me to engage deeply with the recovery community and offer support to those in need. Additionally, I work as a case manager at the Abundant Life Mission, providing guidance and assistance to individuals seeking a fresh start. My work extends beyond these roles, as I also have a hand in construction, which keeps me grounded and connected to practical, hands-on efforts to build better lives.
One of my greatest passions is staying connected with those who are incarcerated. Having walked that path myself, I have a special place in my heart for individuals still in the system. I strive to offer them hope and support, believing in their potential for change and redemption.
On a personal note, I am a proud father to an incredible 5-year-old boy who brings immense joy to my life. Family is everything to me, and I cherish every moment spent with my loved ones. In my free time, I enjoy lifting weights, watching football, and sharing laughter with friends and family.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this community and look forward to connecting with each of you. Together, we can offer our bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, and engage in true and proper worship (Romans 12:1).
