Licensed Care, Clearly Explained
Restoring Hope Ministries offers three streams of licensed care. Every service below is provided by credentialed professionals in our Green Bay office or via telehealth.
AODA Assessment
Comprehensive AODA Assessment & Evaluation
An AODA (Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse) assessment is a structured, confidential evaluation that answers the question: 'Where is substance use taking me, and what kind of help do I need?'
What the Assessment Includes
- A confidential 90–120 minute interview covering substance use history, patterns, and consequences
- Validated screening instruments to determine severity of use and level of dependence
- Screening for co-occurring mental health concerns (depression, anxiety, trauma)
- Review of family, work, legal, and health impacts of substance use
- Collateral information from family or referring parties (with your written consent)
- A written assessment summary with a recommended level of care
Who It's For
You do not need to be "sure" you have a problem — that's exactly what an assessment is for. We accept:
- Self-referrals — when you or a loved one are questioning your relationship with alcohol or drugs
- Court, attorney, probation, or employer referrals requiring documentation
- Referrals from pastors, doctors, or other counselors seeking a level-of-care recommendation
- Individuals re-entering recovery after a relapse who need a refreshed plan
Assessments are conducted by our SAC-credentialed counselor in accordance with Wisconsin standards. You receive a written summary you can share with courts, employers, or referring providers as needed.

Request counseling or call us — tell us you need an AODA assessment and we'll get you on the calendar promptly.
Assessment Session
Meet with our SAC-credentialed counselor (in person in Green Bay or via telehealth) for the structured interview and screening.
Findings & Recommendation
Receive your written summary, a recommended level of care (outpatient, intensive outpatient, or residential referral), and discuss next steps.
Treatment or Referral
If outpatient care fits, treatment can begin at RHM — otherwise we coordinate a warm referral to the right level of care.
AODA Treatment
Substance Use Treatment Options
If treatment is the right next step, RHM offers outpatient AODA care that addresses both the behavior and the heart beneath it — with Christ-centered integration always available, never imposed.
Individual AODA Counseling
One-on-one sessions with a SAC-credentialed counselor addressing the drivers of substance use — shame, trauma, grief, anxiety, and relational wounds — with practical skills for sobriety and relapse prevention.
Co-Occurring Disorders Care
When substance use and mental health struggles occur together (dual diagnosis), our dually credentialed clinician (LCPC, SAC) treats both in one coordinated plan rather than sending you to two separate providers.
Relapse Prevention & Recovery Planning
A structured plan for identifying triggers, building coping skills, developing a sober support network, and creating accountability that lasts — integrated with your church community as desired.
Family & Support Network Care
Counseling for spouses, parents, and children impacted by a loved one's substance use — rebuilding trust, setting healthy boundaries, and healing the whole family system.
Faith-Based Group Programs
Recovery and restoration groups that ground the journey in Scripture, including REBOOT Recovery and Living Free — a safe community where faith and recovery grow together.
Referral & Care Coordination
If your assessment indicates a higher level of care (intensive outpatient or residential treatment), we help you get there — coordinating referrals and supporting you through the transition and aftercare.

Mark Hufen

Mark is dually credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (Wisconsin), Licensed Professional Counselor (Illinois), and Substance Abuse Counselor. He conducts AODA assessments and provides individual and group treatment for substance use and co-occurring disorders.
Dr. Jeffrey Gross
Th.D., Ph.D.Lead Counseling Pastor · Under Clinical Supervision
Dr. Gross provides assessment-informed biblical and pastoral counseling under the clinical supervision of Mark Hufen. He walks with clients through addiction, trauma, and grief, integrating the recovery journey with Christ-centered soul care.
