Question 1

What is biblical counseling and how is it different from Christian therapy?

Accepted Answer

Biblical counseling at Restoring Hope Ministries is Christ-centered, Scripture-shaped pastoral soul care — distinct from licensed clinical psychotherapy. It is rooted in the authority and sufficiency of God's Word applied with pastoral presence, not in psychological theory or secular behavioral models. Some RHM staff also hold clinical licensure (LCPC, LPC, SAC), which deepens their care, but our primary offering remains biblical and pastoral in nature.
