The Three Pillars

Shadow. Learn. Serve.

Every work-study hour at RHM moves through the same three movements — watching closely, growing in understanding, and carrying real responsibility with humility.

Shadow

Students shadow trained staff and peers through the real rhythms of the ministry — client care coordination, group life, and one-on-one support — seeing what wise, well-run care actually looks like up close.

Learn

Every shadow hour becomes a learning hour. Students take in the peer model, ethical boundaries, documentation practices, and daily operations that no textbook can reproduce — guided by experienced staff.

Serve

The heart of the work study: students carry real responsibility that keeps client care top notch — from the front office to the community room — learning to love well through faithful, excellent work.

Nonprofit Business Work Experience

Work on Our Admin Team — Where Client Care Begins

This is real nonprofit business experience. Work-study students serve inside RHM's administrative team, learning the operations, systems, and service standards that keep client care top notch.

Client Care Coordination

Support the intake and scheduling workflows that connect every person to the right care at the right time — follow-ups, appointment logistics, and the details that make people feel cared for before they ever sit down with a counselor.

Records & Office Operations

Learn the behind-the-scenes systems of a nonprofit: confidential record keeping, documentation standards, office workflow, and the operational excellence that keeps a ministry trustworthy.

Communication & Reception

Be a warm, professional first point of contact — answering inquiries, routing requests, and ensuring every person who reaches out to RHM is met with courtesy, clarity, and compassion.

Program & Community Support

Assist with event logistics, volunteer coordination, partner communications, and special projects that strengthen the ministry’s service to churches, students, and the community.

What students gain: hands-on experience in nonprofit operations, client service standards, professional communication, and office systems — the kind of resume-building, career-forming experience that comes from being trusted with work that matters.
